What’s your biz all about? Give us the lowdown!
We make natural deodorant and skincare for men that actually works. Born 4 years ago in a flat garage, now found nationwide in Chemist Warehouse, and Woolworths. Our New Zealand office is based in Ponsonby at The Workshop, with a small but mighty team, we keep things simple, effective, and a little cheeky.
What made you take the leap and start your business?
The plot twist of Two Dudes? It was all sparked by one woman. Our co-founder Tomas was stealing his girlfriend’s skincare and eventually she said to bugger off and get your own. Upon trying to buy some, it was a confusing category to navigate – packed with “for men” brands that were an afterthought from multinationals. So we made products that dudes actually want to use — natural, effective, and don’t take a PhD to figure out.

Launching into Chemist Warehouse shelves across New Zealand. You’ll now find our natural deodorant and skincare next to global giants we grew up seeing in the bathroom cabinet… except ours work much better, and don’t contain any weird stuff you can’t pronounce.
Best advice for small biz owners or freelancers?
Start scrappy, move fast, and don’t be afraid to test ideas that sound ridiculous. Half our best marketing ideas started as jokes. The other half… were also jokes, but worked anyway. Like Ball Butter (yes, it’s what you think it is).
What’s your #1 productivity hack?
Every day I make sure I’m wearing Two Dudes deodorant because it’s proven to increase productivity by 69% (probably).
Why TW – What do you love about us?
Definitely Pete (resident dog dude). And the fact that when Alesha, our social media dudette, started interrupting everyone to follow us on Instagram so I would buy her free lunch, nobody even blinked. Instead, they thought it was funny that I had to buy lunch and started suggesting expensive restaurants. That’s community spirit (albeit fiscally irresponsible).
It’s a great mix of focus and fun. We get to work alongside smart, interesting people, but also have enough space for filming ridiculous skits without annoying anyone (too much).
Coworking vs. home or café – what’s the real difference?
Energy. You can’t replicate the buzz of being around other people building cool things. Also, I make much less trips to the pantry vs WFH.
How’s the Workshop vibe helped you level up your work?
It’s given us fresh ideas, access to helpful contacts, and a built-in cheer squad who celebrate our wins (and taste-test our new deodorant scents).

LSKD and Two Dudes are joining forces this Movember with one bold goal: to raise $90,000 and break New Zealand’s national fundraising record for men’s health (the current record is $86K). We’re doing this to fund life-changing initiatives in men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
The Mission
From North to South Island, we’re going on a month-long road-trip around Aotearoa — the Road to MO-CHELLA — connecting communities through movement, conversation, and action.
